Myspace and Facebook!!!

How have we got ourselves into the day and age where we are more concerned about ‘friend requests’ ‘comments’ and ‘updated status’ than we are, in most other aspects of our lives. I mean i don’t want to sound geeky or that i sit here on my laptop day in day out, but my index finger reguarly finds F5 on the keyboard in an attempt to find that ‘all important’ comment, or maybe just the latest buletin that reveals all about the now not so secret life of your best mates. As isnt it funny, that when your in person someone can be shy and distant and look not to have these sordid tales behind there vulnerable exterior. However, put them on myspace for half hour and you it all.

So, this is my point. How has Myspace and Facebook become so integrated in our lifes that we turn to them for help whereas before it would be your best mate. We turn for them for the latest ‘goss’ whereas before it would have meant hours of questioning your ‘in the know’ friends. You see, this global phenomineon in my view is taking away all the good bits of friendship and not to sound gay or anything, but when was the last time you rang your best mate just to see how they were? Ok, now when was the last time you signed in on msn, checked your comments on myspace or updated your profile on facebook. You see, we are becoming infatuated with the ease of social networking through our finger tips and well true it does give ugly people a chance in life. But is it a cost?

No…Ofcourse not, everyone has one. : ) x

Hello world!

So…How do these things work? Is it just a, ‘type-enter-wait for the hundreds of thousands of people to read’ kind of thing, or have you got to be quirky and subtley comical like i am, ‘trying’ to be now?

I thought as much. You have to get the balance right i presume, so people or ‘you’ are interested enough to carry on reading but not so much that your so called ‘elaborate’ lifestyle seems that it should stay in the movies and teen rom-coms where your ideas have came from.

So i shall try not to. But do excuse me if i wander off course as i have had the tendancies to do that throughout the last 18 years.

How do i begin? What do i tell you? and am i lucky or even foolish to believe that their is a ‘you’ out there whom are even a little bit bothered about what I have to say. But if you are reading, a female, between the ages….nahhh im a kidding ill leave that for facebook and myspace. You see that leads me into my first ‘thought’ i guess, but i shall leave that untl later, and when the sun has gone down just that little more and when some nice sultry acoustic sounds are being played…ie. after friends has finished.  David.
